Bluebird Care (Galway) – BIODOSE Demonstration

Care Staff at Bluebird Care (Galway) recently attended a demonstration in the Clayton Hotel on the use of the “BIODOSE” system of helping our Customers mange their medications.  The course was attended by 24 of our carers who were delighted to get a chance to try the system which gives them the opportunity to offer even more help to our Customers as the non adherence to medication routines is one of the biggest causes of older people been sent to hospital as they either forget to take their meds of take them incorrectly.  The course was run by local Pharmacist Mr Frank Mcanena from the “Eyre Square Pharmacy” in Galway city.

Managing Director Sean Lyons commented after the demonstration “BIODOSE is a truly revolutionary system that will help us to help our Customers maintain a healthier lifestyle while living in the home they love, the correct use of medications will enhance the quality of life for all our Customers and enable them to live at home with our help for all of their lives.”

Customer Satisfaction Survey reflects benefits of Bluebird Care approach.

Respondents to the first Bluebird Care (Dublin West) Customer Satisfaction Survey have rated the overall service as either Very Satisfied or Satisfied.  Over 90% of customers responded to the survey which was distributed in April.

Most respondents cited Quality of Care and High standard of Trained Carers as reasons for their high ratings.  Denise Geddes, Care Manager for Dublin West, reflects that “The Bluebird Care recruitment process, whilst it can be very onerous and time consuming, certainly pays huge dividends when it comes to delivering quality Homecare and keeping the customer happy.  Only a small percentage of candidates make the cut during the recruitment process and there really are no shortcuts.  But, on the other hand, the Customer Satisfaction Survey results tell us we’re doing it right”
