The Bluebird Care Dublin South East office held the first Carers` meetings in their new offices recently and what a success it was. The meetings were held over two days to accommodate as many carers as possible and there was a tremendous turn out.
`We believe in ensuring our carers are happy in their work and we understand that working in the community can sometimes be lonely` said Care Manager kim Butler. `Our team meetings give our carers the opportunity to meet each other, swap experiences and also to tell us how they feel about working for Bluebird Care. They came up with some useful suggestions as to how we can improve our business for them and our customers. We discussed training and development for carers, they expressed what their needs are. We will be shortly be launching a Newsletter as requested by the carers and we discussed other ways we can improve the lives of our customers`.
Carer Lyn Duff commented `It was great to be able to meet some of the other carers and also to know that we are part of a team, I also like the fact that all the management staff ask us for our opinion and genuinely care how we feel`.
We`d like to take this opportunity to thank all the carers who took time out from their busy schedules to attend these meetings and also to thank them for their continued reliability and punctuality, which allows us to provide continuity of care for our customers and to maintain the reputation for providing quality care that we have established both amongst local health professionals and within the local community.
