Bluebird Care Announces Job Creation Plan

There’s good news on the jobs front this week with 75 jobs planned for counties Sligo and Mayo.

Home care provider Bluebird Care has launched a recruitment drive for care staff and specialist nursing roles following their recent appointment as an HSE approved provider for enhanced homecare packages 2012 (services for older persons).

The positions will come on stream over the next six months and will be open to care workers, live-in care workers and support workers throughout Co. Sligo and throughout Co. Mayo.

Interested candidates should hold a FETAC Level 5 (8 Modules) Health Care Assistant and/or An Bord Altranais Registration (Nurses) and have experience in delivering high quality care.

Preference will be given to candidates who also demonstrate their reliability, self-motivation, dedication and passion about high standards. Candidates also need a full driving license and own their own car.

Experience in caring for children, young adults and older people, as well as experience with physical and sensory or learning disability care is also welcome.

Full training will be provided for successful applicants including people handling training; ongoing training and development; in-house training modules; Bluebird Care induction programme and Garda vetting.

Raising Standards in Care with Frontline & Irish Times Training

Bluebird Care has recently partnered with Irish Times Training and Frontline Training to deliver internationally recognised qualifications through the FETAC accreditation system.

With a nationwide network of Bluebird Care teams working in communities and delivering care on a 24-hour basis, the partnership with Frontline Training was a natural one.

Frontline Training provides best practice training in healthcare and offer programmes at level 5, 6, 7 and 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications, in association with Irish Times Training.

They also offer a range of Continuing Professional Development courses from Dementia Awareness training, Nutritional Care, Approaches to Challenging Behaviour, Infection Control and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.

Care Manager Required

Bluebird Care are seeking a RGN/Care Manager for there office in Navan, Co.Meath.

Responsible for the legal and ethical running of the day to day business. Ultimate responsibility for all the staff, including their recruitment, training and development. Ensure successful implementation of quality control systems. Responsible for customer assessments, delivery of high quality care and customer reviews. To participate in the growth and development of a new business in Co.Meath

The Successful Applicant must have a nursing qualification or relevant health related qualification. Experience in management essential along with a good knowledge of legislation and standards. Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of best practice standards are essential. Have knowledge of Care Plans and Risk Assessments of customers’ needs and a working knowledge of the HSE is desirable.
