A series of varied and interesting events took place from September 28th to October 6th in Tullamore, one of 15 towns in Ireland to host a series of community-based events throughout Positive Ageing Week, to celebrate the contribution older people make in their communities.

Over 1,250 events were enjoyed by young and old across Ireland, north and south, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival.

Tullamore commenced the week with a Positive Ageing Networking event from 2pm - 5pm on Wednesday 3rd October in the Darmagh Community Centre, Clontarf road. Other events throughout the week included Skype Workshops; information on Saorview, a Go for Life Games demonstration, and a Boccia demonstration-and-try session and much more.
