Age Action who delivers on a range of campaigns and advocacy themes for older people will have a team running for them in this year's 10km event. However, in order to grow their team and raise as much money as possible they are hoping to recruit as many people as possible to run for them but also to raise €200.
Operations Director with Bluebird Care Eddie O'Toole says, "Age Action is one of our charity partners for 2013 and part of our support is to help them fundraise throughout the year. So we thought that offering a prize for ladies taking on the Flora Women's Mini Marathon would create a great incentive. So quite simply, anyone who runs in aid of Age Action and who raises €200 or more will be entered into a draw for a holiday voucher worth €2,000. And we will be at the finishing line waiting for our winner."
Eamon Timmins, Head of Advocacy & Communications with Age Action says that more than ever before funding is challenging and they compete with really valid charities each and every day. "We are delighted with Bluebird Care's prize voucher and we hope it will inspire women across Ireland to help make Ireland a great place to grow old in."
Age Action have enrolled the support of a few famous faces to help support their fundraising efforts.
