In the majority of cases it makes both financial and emotional sense for an individual to remain in the familiar surroundings of their own home. Freedom of choice, independence and social inclusion are all critical contributing factors to maximising our customers daily lived experience and continued medical, social and psychological well-being. Bluebird Care in Dublin West have a person centred focus and all our care packages are fully tailored and unique to the individual clients, in order that he or she has a direct input into the care they expect to receive.

Who are our clients?
Bluebird Care is a provider of a wide range of personal care and support services to people of all ages in their own homes and their community. Bluebird Care is available to anyone who needs help with everyday tasks in their own home or in their community enabling them to lead a normal independent and healthier life in familiar surroundings among friends and relatives.
Within our local communities we care/support complex medical conditions, physical and intellectual disabilities, chronic illness, dementia, respite care and end of life care. We also provide nursing care services.
Before we embark on any care package a comprehensive care needs assessment and risk assessment are carried out. This ensures that the care plan we put in place is fully person centred and tailored to the needs of the customer and their loved ones. Our range of services includes but is not limited to the following:
- personal care (ie assistance with washing and dressing)
- grocery shopping
- overnight care
- assistance with mobility, walking and light exercise
- accompanying to appointments or other excursions
- prompting medication
- light housework duties, including laundry
- preparing nutritious meals and or assisting with feeding
- Morning or Night assistance with bedtime routines
- Full in home support
Regardless, of what services our customers require they all enjoy a visit from their friendly, cheerful homecare assistant.
Who are our home care staff?
At Bluebird Care Dublin West we are very proud of our care team and nurses. Our team are friendly, caring and qualified to the appropriate standards for their role. We have a very diverse skill set to meet the varying needs of our customers including Social Care workers, nurses, Healthcare assistants, and PA’s. All our staff have been fully Garda Vetted and completed all relevant mandatory training such as induction and patient moving and handling.
Our care staff are all enrolled on continuous personal development courses through on-line elearning and we regularly offer customer specific tailored training courses in particular with respect to dementia care.
Who do we work with?
At Bluebird Care in Dublin West we work with a range of healthcare professionals such as social workers, public health nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. It’s necessary for us to work closely with these individuals to ensure every aspect of our customers care needs are being met on a daily basis.
We are a preferred supplier to the HSE older persons and disabilities teams and work throughout the county in both a private and HSE funded capacity

Denise is a highly experienced care professional with over 15 years’ experience in the Social Care sector. Denise has worked in a variety of different organisations across the private, voluntary and statutory services, and is flexible and adaptable to the varying needs of different client groups.
Denise holds a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Studies in Social Care and more recently completed a MA in Therapeutic Child Care. Denise has an ethos of continuous education and professional development and this is something she will actively encourage and promote within the care team in Dublin West, with the intention of ensuring the highest quality of standards and care for our customers.
Denise is an Executive Member if the IASCM (The Irish Association of Social Care Management).
Denise is responsible for carrying out assessments, developing care plans and ensuring all customer needs are met, as well as the recruitment, training and monitoring of care staff.
Claire Byrne joined Bluebird Care in May 2014 as a care assistant, throughout this time Claire provided support for numerous customers with different needs ranging from personal care, to mobility issues to specialist care for dementia customers.
Claire holds a BA (Hons) in Social Care Practice. As a Social Care graduate Claire can apply the principles of care to the most vulnerable individuals within the community, young and old. Claire enjoys her daily interaction with customers and carers, and is very passionate about ensuring a high standard of home care is delivered. Claire's high standard and experienced professional approach has led to her new role as a full time supervisor.
