Looking for quality care at home services for a child or adult with physical or intellectual disability? Here at Bluebird Care in Kildare we work around the clock to ensure that every one of our clients gets the support they require, exactly when they require it. This not only provides them with a feeling of security and comfort, but it also means they can remain independently in the community where they feel happiest and most safe.
Whether our clients are looking for help with food shopping, meal preparation and washing up, our motivated, professional and well qualified health care team are only too happy to oblige. We have years of experience of co-ordinating and delivering home care packages for a range of individuals of all ages.
Our staff work with health and social services professionals throughout the region to ensure that the care is the best it can be.
A client’s home care provision may be ongoing over a number of years or simply for a period of days or weeks. The latter type of care typically tends to involve a client recovering from a lengthy hospital stay or operation and who is still too vulnerable to live independently. We will also provide respite care in order to give parents, friends and long-term carers the break – whether in the UK or abroad - that they need to appreciate some care-free ‘time out’ for themselves.
What type of professional services do we provide at Bluebird Care in Kildare?
The services you – or your family member – end up receiving from us will completely depend on the outcome of a detailed assessment with a member of our team. It’s important that the person to be cared for is present at this time to allow us to take their wishes into account so that we can come to a joint agreement over their Bluebird support plan.
If you are at all aware of our service here at Bluebird Care in Kildare you will know that we always insist on building a service around the client rather than ‘fitting’ a client into a routine service plan. To this end all our services are created bespoke and with the client at the point of assessment. That, and the unrelenting cheerfulness and compassion of our carers, is the reason we are the leading care at home service in the area.
An individual may receive one of the following services, or many, depending on their individual needs.
- Personal care – this includes help with washing and dressing as well as assistance with getting around the house
- Light housework duties – ensuring the client’s home is clean and tidy. Perhaps light laundry and ironing.
- Companionship – dropping in for a quick 30 minute chat and a cup of tea
- Complex care ie help with feeding and perhaps nursing duties
- Administering medication
- Light exercise such as walking and accompanying to meetings
- Helping with mobility issues when desired
