Bluebird Care Dublin West are actively seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced registered nurse to work as a full time Care Manager.

This is a valuable opportunity for a motivated individual to join a leading homecare service provider, and to further develop and enhance his/ her career at a senior management level.

This post holder will play a key role in providing clinical and professional leadership to all staff and will oversee the delivery of safe quality care, the implementation of policies and procedures, the monitoring of activity and the delivery of the agreed level of service to customers and their families.


The Care Manager will:

Be responsible for the overall quality of service delivery to all customers within the Franchise
Engage directly with the customer/family member
Provide leadership and management to all staff within the Franchise
Be accountable to the Franchise Managing Director


  • A nursing qualification is essential (*The Care Manager must be a Registered
  • Nurse on the Live Register (any division) of NMBI)
  • Have worked in a management role
  • Risk Management qualification is desirable
  • Health Care Management qualification (Desirable)
  • Risk Management qualification (Desirable)


  • Nurse Management experience in a health care setting is essential
  • Business/Financial experience is desirable


  • Plan, allocate and evaluate the workload of all staff
  • Ensure the effective implementation of Bluebird Care Policies, Procedures,
  • Protocols and GuidanceEnsure staff compliance with safeguarding systems
  • Ensure the successful implementation of quality control systems i.e. Audit
  • Have a strong knowledge of the requirements of commissioning bodies i.e.HSE
  • Liaise with all Health Care Professionals as required
  • Understand and implement legislation and regulations relevant to user groups and the business as a whole
  • Allocate, monitor and control financial resources
  • Create and maintain administrative systems
  • Recruit, select and effectively supervise a dispersed workforce
  • Provide specific support and guidance to his/her Care Supervisors
  • Implement induction programmes
  • Identify staff training needs and provide accordingly
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Carry out customer assessments and develop a customer care plan based on the identified needs
  • Ensure that appropriate kinds of intervention take place to meet the
  • Liaise with other agencies involved with the customer to ensure the provision of integrated services
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of Quality and Safety systems
  • Participate in the growth and development of the business, locally and regionally through various marketing exercises
  • Ensure all Client Care Packages are fully covered on an on-going basis
  • Participate in the Bluebird Care emergency phone on-call service
