Now Recruiting a Care Supervisor in Meath

We are currently seeking a Care Supervisor (RGN) covering our Meath office.

Bluebird Care Meath are actively seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced registered nurse to work as a Care Supervisor Role. This post holder will play a key role in providing clinical and professional leadership to all staff and will oversee the delivery of safe quality care, the implementation of policies and procedures, the monitoring of activity and the delivery of the agreed level of service to customers and their families.

Monday to Friday Role – (9am – 5.30pm)


A care supervisor should have a nursing qualification and be registered (in any division) on the live register of NMBI.


Computer literacy/administration is desirable
Manual Handling (in date) is desirable
Risk Assessment knowledge is desirable


Working experience post social care degree qualification is essential ( 2 – 3 years)

Experience of staff management is desirable

KEY WORK FUNCTIONS (Please note this is not an exhaustive list)

The Care Supervisor will:

  • Line manage, supervise and support the care worker
  • Assign the appropriate care staff to meet the customer needs
  • Liaise with the customer/ family member
  • Carry out assessment of customer needs and develop effective care plans
  • Liaise with other Bluebird care staff i.e. Care Co-ordinators, Care Manager
  • Liaise with health care professionals/ statutory personnel/ others throughout the
  • Respond to care workers concerns appropriately and effectively
  • Provide support, guidance and advice to care workers as necessary
  • Appraise Care Manager with regard to all operational matters
  • Monitor the quality and standard of care delivered in the care environment
  • Implementation and compliance with quality control systems to support the
    governance for quality and safety within the franchise
  • Provide feedback to care workers with regard to his/ her performance/behaviour
    Monitor the uptake of CPD
  • Participate in training as required
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and guidance are implemented effectively
  • Ensure all staff are fully compliant with safeguarding requirements
  • Participate in an on call rota system

Provide ( in exceptional circumstances) care directly to a customer in the event that a care worker becomes unavailable to carry out a call
