Nurse Care Manager Required in Dún Laoghaire

We are recruiting a Nurse Care Manager

The role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Carrying out home care assessments and introducing care staff to families
  • Writing care plans
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Building relationships with HSE
  • Conducting customer reviews
  • Providing training to care staff
  • Liaising with families
  • Liaising with the HSE, Primary Care Teams (PHNs; O/Ts etc.)
  • Out of hours on-call support on a rostered basis with other office staff


The successful candidate must have a nursing qualification. An excellent standard of English is required, with effective verbal and written communication skills. A good understanding of IT systems is also required as the role requires an amount of office based reporting and follow-up.Applicants must have a full driving licence and their own car. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.An attractive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications will be offered to the successful candidate.


Job specification


  • Experience of service provision in the care profession
  • Clean driving licence
  • Experience of customer/environment assessment or relevant risk assessment qualification or ability to attain such qualifications



  • Care supervisory management experience

  • To be able to implement all field based training
  • To be able to share on-call responsibilities with other office based staff
  • To be able to prioritise and organise own workload effectively
  • To have a working knowledge of health and safety and other legal factors
