Bluebird Care Supports 2015 Positive Ageing Week
Positive Ageing Week 2015
Thursday 1 October to Friday 9 October 2015
Age Action invites you to participate in their national celebration Positive Ageing Week. Now in its 13th year, it begins on Thursday 1 October to mark UN International Day of Older Persons and ends on 9 October. The aim of this week is to emphasise the positive aspects of ageing for older people in Ireland and to celebrate the contribution which older people have made and continue to make in our communities.
This year, along with the many groups who are organising activities, we are also encouraging schools around the country to get involved. One of our programmes, Generations Together, is an exciting new initiative to support best practice in intergenerational relationships. The programme promotes inclusion and builds on the positive resources that different generations have to offer each other and those around them. We would be delighted if schools organised an event for their community in addition to the many other activities being organised by groups around the country.
Please complete the registration survey with details of your Positive Ageing Week event/activity by Friday 4th September 2015. Please click here for the link to register your event.
