They have a strong team in place and have built their brand considerably at a local level.

This year’s Spirit of Bluebird Care Award winner goes to a franchise that has had a strong year of growth, successful recruitment and consistent local marketing. As one of our younger franchises this office has put in a great team and they display an enthusiasm worthy of this award.

The 2016 winner of the Bluebird Care Marketing Award goes to an office that has a strong appreciation for and a proactive attitude towards local marketing. 

They are active almost weekly on marketing campaigns and get involved in community and charity initiatives. 

For promoting the brand of Bluebird Care consistently and recognising the need to drive local marketing efforts we are delighted to honour Bluebird Care Kerry/West Cork with the 2016 Marketing Award.

Wishing Good Luck to “Beaumont Brawn”

We would like to wish a huge good luck to “Beaumont Brawn” from all the staff at Bluebird Care Dublin North.

Bluebird Care Dublin North are delighted to sponsor “Beaumont Brawn” in this summer’s IRFU Tag Competition, at Malahide RFC. The team is made of up staff from Beaumont Hospital along with a couple of members of Malahide RFC.

Focus on Training in Co. Meath

Training and continuing professional development is an important aspect of Bluebird Care’s staff development programme. Evidence of this is the recent training undertaken by the team in Co. Meath.

Directors Gavin Kane & J.J Fay say their staff show a great willingness to complete on the job training and have an appetite to learn new skills. “In the past 4 weeks we have completed a series of training courses which add value to our customers’ care.”

  • Induction Training: Given by Bluebird Care’s Care Manager, Nina Allen, RGN
  • Manual Handling & Patient Moving Training: Given by a specialised external provider
  • Epilepsy Awareness & the Administration of Buccal Midazolam
  • Management of the Neurogenic Bowel

 
Gavin Kane  says, “As well as the above training we continue to roll out our Continuous Professional Development e-training programme with recent modules on Aspergers and Autism as well as Basic First Aid.”

The Story of Bluebird Care Wexford

This week Michael Corcoran, Director of recently launched Bluebird Care Wexford was interviewed on South East Radio. His story is one not dissimilar to our other Directors across the country.

In this blog post we learn a bit more about Michael and what it was about Bluebird Care that captured his interest.

Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has worked in Financial Services for over 20 years in the finance area, general management and sales development. Michael, whose family has been in business in Wexford for many years, set up the Bluebird Care office in Wexford in Autumn 2013.

“I am very excited by the challenge of delivering high quality care to our customers. The care needs of people are very varied and whether it is care of older persons or care for people with physical or intellectual disabilities we are committed to providing care to the highest professional standards.

“A consistent theme throughout my career has been that of placing the customer first and having a dedication to service. Everything that we do in Bluebird Care is focused on meeting and satisfying our customers’ care needs.”
