Award winning National Finalist Bluebird Care Clare

Award winning Bluebird Care Clare was a National Finalist in the National QMark Awards for Quality Management Systems.
Their nomination for the second year in a row has put them on top of all audits completed  by the Excellence Ireland Quality Association in Ireland.
The Bluebird Care National Group also scooped the overall Business Group of the Year. Known as the Oscars of Business Excellence the QMark is the highest accolade an Irish business can achieve. It is the fourth time the group has won the accolade and the third year in a row.
At the awards in the Clayton Hotel, Dublin  Kay Leahy says” I am extremely honoured and proud, given both the intense competition and the exacting standards required. It has been made possible by the committed, dedicated and hardworking staff in County Clare. So thank you all”.

Disability Seminars to Debate Hard Hitting Issues

Newstalk’s Bobby Kerr to chair free seminars hosted by Bluebird Care

Newstalk’s Bobby Kerr will chair a series of disability-themed seminars addressing issues affecting people with disabilities in Ireland today.

“Equality for All. No Matter of Age or Ability” will be held in Navan on Thursday 23rd October 2014 and in Ennis on Wednesday 19th November at 7.00pm.

The events will see a number of speakers including people with disabilities discuss access to healthcare, independent living support, access to education, physical access to public and private buildings, disability hate crime and HSE services.

Speakers include Disability Hate Crime Researcher Frank Larkin from Letterkenny; Access Campaigner and 2014 Spirit of Northern Ireland Finalist, Dermot Devlin from Omagh; Stephen Cluskey, Social Entrepreneur and founder of, HSE representatives and the Midway Charity.

Both events are free to attend.

Bluebird Care Make Bank of Ireland Startup Awards Shortlist

Bluebird Care Clare has been shortlisted for the 2014 Bank of Ireland Startup Awards. Director Kay Leahy said she was “thrilled and excited by the nomination” which she dedicated to her hard-working team.

With over 750 category entries, it is a huge achievement to get this far. View the full regional shortlist here.

The next round is ‘The National Round’. The shortlist will be published on the October 13th. Round three will commence on the 15th and 16th of October. The winners will be announced on the 23rd of October.
