It will be lead by locally renowned Galtee Mountain Guide Mike Moroney. |
Brian Egan- Kilkenny, Carlow | Barrow Trail Whitewater Challenge | Sunday, 1st September 2013 | 9.30am – 1pm | River Barrow: it starts in Borris, Co. Carlow and finishes in Graiguenamanagh, Co Kilkenny. | Since the dawn of Barge transportation on the Barrow river in 1790 this ancient highway of trade and communication was changed forever. For our fundraising challenge we will follow the trail of the oldest boat people in Ireland. In order to get to our prize in old monastic Graignamanagh – just like the Vikings before us – we will have to shoot the weirs and ride the rapids on a thrilling trail using traditional Canadian canoes. While this challenge is suitable for all the family, a keen sense of adventure will be required. |

Caoimhin Armstrong – Laois | 5km Accessible Walk | Saturday, 17th August 2013 | 12 noon | Rockview Walkways | This event takes place at Rockview Walkways www.rockviewwalkways.com in Laois which is a wheelchair-friendly venue with trails and a sensory garden. Everyone is welcome. |

The Hill of Tara Walk | Sunday, 25th August | 12 noon | The Hill of Tara, Meath | The historic Hill of Tara is Bluebird Care Meath’s destination for ‘Summit for the Weekend’. The Tara Slí (4.5Km), which is looped, starts at the historic Hill of Tara, once the seat of the High Kings of Ireland with the Duchas Interpretive Centre and the newly erected statue of St.Patrick in the background. There will be refreshments available along the route and on the hill. The walk will take approximately one hour to complete. |

5Km Walk/Run | Wednesday, 18th September | 7.00pm | Churchill | The Race will begin at Mc Claffertys Bar in Churchill and finish at Glendowan Chapel. The course is a flat, fast and accurate course. Showers and refreshments will be provided at the Gartan Outdoor Education Centre in the boathouse. |

David Bruton – Dublin West & Dublin South | A Walk In the Park | Saturday, September 7th 2013 | 10.30am | Phoenix Park, Dublin | Bring your kids, your friends, your neighbours, you can even bring your dog. The walk is approx 7km. There will be a picnic afterwards and entertainment for the kids (weather permitting). |

Bluebird Care Galway in association with the Clare River Harriers Athletic club will host the Claregalway 10K road race and fun-run/walk. Greg Darcy – Dublin South East & Wicklow | Go to WAR for Special Olympics Ireland | Saturday 14th September | All day | Wicklow | Dan Fisher will represent Bluebird Care Dublin South East & Wickow Adventure Race on the 14th of September when he will tackle the iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain, kayak on the spectacular Vartry Lakes, cycle over the Sally Gap, and run above the Powerscourt Waterfall, all based around the famous Powerscourt House and Gardens. |
