National Quality Nomination for Four Bluebird Care Offices

Four Bluebird Care offices have been shortlisted for the national Q Mark Awards. Meanwhile. Bluebird Care as a group is shortlisted for Best Business Group Award.

Bluebird Care Galway, Carlow/Kilkenny/Waterford, Limerick and Kerry/West Cork will attend the national Q Mark awards in the Burlington Hotel on Friday 27th September.

Operations Director Eddie O’Toole says, “We are humbled to have four offices and the national group shortlised in two award categories. Quality is what we build everything from in our business. We are a very young company to have completed the Q Mark process as a grouping but it has always been our premise that we will deliver quality homecare to our customers in every corner of Ireland.”

Bluebird Care is a franchised company having set up in Ireland in 2007. They now have 20 offices in 23 counties with 18 offices awarded the Q Mark to date. The remaining two offices are going through the process.



Christina Joyce named Bluebird Care Galway ‘Carer of the Year’

Christina Joyce, 2012 Bluebird Care Galway ‘Carer of the Year’. She was presented with her plaque by Director Sean Lyons.

Christina Joyce has been named Bluebird Care Galway ‘Carer of the Year.’

Originally from the Claddagh in the heart of Galway city but now living in the Craughwell area of county Galway, Christina was one of 11 finalists shortlisted for the title of ‘Carer of the Year’.

Managing Director Sean Lyons says, “All 11 finalists demonstrated excellence in the delivery of care to our customers and all have shown exceptional teamwork, consistently going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that Bluebird Care Galway delivers the very best customer service to our many and varied customers.”

Christina has been working with Bluebird Care since August 2010 and she has been commended many times for her caring attitude towards customers and her innate ability to bring happiness to all the people she visits on her daily rounds.

Accepting her award Christina said, “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to be named ‘Carer of the Year’.  I just do my job in the best way I know how. We are a very committed team at Bluebird Care Galway and I know any of my colleagues would have been worthy winners.”

Christina was presented with a plaque and a voucher as an acknowledgement of her achievement.
