Bluebird Care Q Mark Award

Top in the Country for Quality

Bluebird Care Named Business Group of the Year at National Q Mark Awards

Homecare company Bluebird Care has been named best Business Group in Ireland for quality standards. The announcement was made at the National Q Mark Awards, which took place in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin on Friday night. Irene Collins, Managing Director of Excellence Ireland Quality Association – the Proud Guardians of The Q Mark, said the award celebrates outstanding levels of commitment to quality standards. “Quality standards are at the centre of Bluebird Care’s operational ethos. Working in an unregulated sector Bluebird Care are to be commended on achieving the Q Mark in 18 individual franchisee locations. Very well done to everyone,” says Irene Collins. Operations Director of Bluebird Care, Eddie O’Toole says from the very outset Bluebird Care has had quality at its centre-point. “We have our own internal quality standards which we adopt from our parent company in the UK where homecare is regulated. We undertake spot checks on a bi-monthly basis and do full internal audits bi-annually. Separately we have committed to the Q Mark standard, an independent audit of our standards. 18 of our 20 offices are currently Q Mark certified and this reinforces that at all levels of our business we are strongly committed to quality.” For more information on Bluebird Care log onto or watch a video on their story in Ireland here:
