The Hill of Tara Walk

Bluebird Care Meath Event

The Special Olympics World Games were hosted in Ireland 10 years ago. To mark the occasion Bluebird Care has launched a nationwide fundraising campaign which will see them challenge their Directors, Managers and staff to do ‘Summit for the Weekend’ all in aid of Special Olympics Ireland.

“18 offices. 18 challenges. One Target. Because no challenge is insurmountable when it comes to the Special Olympics Ireland athletes,” says Eddie O’Toole, Operations Director with Bluebird Care.

Bluebird Care Meath has decided to take on the Fundraising challenge by hosting the Hill of Tara Walk on Sunday the 25th of August at 12noon. The Tara Slí (4.5Km), which is looped, starts at the historic Hill of Tara, once the seat of the High Kings of Ireland with the Duchas Interpretive Centre and the newly erected statue of St.Patrick in the background. There will be refreshments available along the route and on the hill. The walk will take approximately one hour to complete.

Bluebird Care is inviting the people of Meath to take part with all funds raised going Special Olympics Ireland. You can come on your own, with a team from work or as a family. Sponsorship cards are available from Bluebird Care Meath.
