Sporting Talent in Cork for Special Olympics Ireland

The Summit for Special Olympics Table Quiz was held in Cork Constitution Football Club on Thursday 26thSeptember with Bluebird Care Cork Director Don O’Riordan acting as quiz master.

Don O’Riordan says, “An enjoyable evening was had by all with a lot of banter and generous donations on behalf of Special Olympics Ireland. I would like to thank everyone who turned out.”

After 10 rounds of intense battle a further two rounds was required to separate two superb teams. Congratulations to the winning team ably lead by Jamie Wallace.

The evening was a huge success and monies raised will be presented to Special Olympics Ireland at an upcoming event.

Practice your golf swing at the upcoming Golf Classic hosted by Bluebird Care Tipperary.  Hosted by Andrew Jones, teams of four are invited to register at a cost of €200 which includes great prizes and a wholesome meal.

Speaking ahead of the event Andrew says, “We have secured great sponsorship from local businesses and their input and support is greatly appreciated. We are now registering teams of four and local clubs, organisations and individuals are being encouraged to practice their swing and raise much needed funds for Special Olympics.”

Bluebird Care Clare on the Airwaves

Kay Leahy , Director Bluebird Care Clare was  interviewed on Clare FM ahead of her event The Burren 5 Mile Walk in aid of Special Olympics Ireland on Sunday, 18th August 2013. The team at Bluebird Care Clare along with members of the public walked the scenic route from Ballyvaughan seafront to Aillwee Caves.
