We are delighted to be sponsoring Age Action’s Positive Ageing Week for a second consecutive year.

Thursday 26 September 6:30pm PAW Launch National Concert Hall The National Youth Orchestra & The Blow the Dust off Your Trumpet Orchestra (for Older People) will put on a special performance in the Kevin Barry Room at the National Concert Hall for the Launch of PAW 6.30pm – 8pm
Friday 27 September 10:00am PAW Town – Arklow Launch & Information Day Information Day for Older People at the Arklow Bay Hotel 10am-4pm. Official opening at 11am
Friday 27 September 12:30pm PAW Town – Sligo Launch & Lunch Official Launch of PAW in Sligo hosted by Tubbercurry FRC – There will be Information on “Keeping Safe and Warm this Winter”, “Warmer Homes Scheme”., “Sligo Friendly Call Service”. Tubbercurry FRC 12.30pm – 2.20pm
Saturday 28 September 11:00am PAW Town – Midleton Launch 11am – Official Launch of PAW in Midleton Library & GAA Memorabilia Exhibition. 10am -4pm
Sunday 29 September 2:30pm PAW Town – Kinsale – Oliver Lynch Memorial Tea Dance Founder Member of Kinsale PAW Town Committee. Tea Dance will take place in Acton’s Hotel. 2.30pm – 5.30pm
Sunday 29 September 2:30pm PAW Town – Boyle – Fundraising 5k Walk Fundraising 5k Walk for St Asicus Centre for Older People
Monday 30 September 2:00pm PAW Town – Ballymun – Launch Ofical Launch of Positive Ageing Week Ballymun followed by Pictures Film Club at: Axis, Main St. Ballymun
Monday 30 September 2:30pm PAW Town – Galway – Launch Ballybane Library Official Launch of PAW at Ballybane Library – Mayor will attend, there will be readings from Journeys participants, refreshments provided
Tuesday 1 October 9:30am Over 50’s Event Dublin Zoo – Day 1 Tours, Talks, Special Guests and Launch of new Zoo Educational Leaflet which includes a new Life-Long Learning section. Special Guest – Éanna Ni Lamhna will give a talk about the Zoo. 9.30am – 5.30pm
Tuesday 1 October 11:00am PAW Town – Trim – Coffee Morning & Talks Coffee Morning – Trim Family Resource Centre with talks by Tidy Towns &
Wednesday 2 October 9:30am Over 50’s Event Dublin Zoo – Day 2 Tours, Talks, Special Guests and Launch of new Zoo Educational Leaflet which includes a new Life-Long Learning section. Special Guest – John Lonergan will give a talk on Positive Ageing. 9.30am – 5.30pm
Wednesday 2 October 3:00pm PAW Town – Tullamore – Positive Ageing Social Afternoon (TBC) Tullamore Active Reitirement Association hold an afternoon of music, song and dance at the Darmagh Centre, Tullamore. 3pm – 5pm
Thursday 3 October 7:30pm PAW Town – Dungarvan – Singing Competition Singing Competition Perpetual Trophy for Older People at Deise Day Care Centre. 7.30pm – 10.30pm
Thursday 3 October Over 50’s Event Dublin Zoo – Day 3 Tours, Talks, Special Guests and Launch of new Zoo Educational Leaflet which includes a new Life-Long Learning section. Special Guest Noeleen Frain – Artist & Calligrapher – will give an art demonstration. 9.30am – 5.30pm
Thursday 3 October 2:00pm PAW Town – Cashel – Afternoon Tea Dance Tea Dance in Halla na Feile Cashel Dancing, Entertainment & Refreshments for all. A great afternoon entertainment.
Friday 4 October 10:30am PAW Town – Drogheda – Pampering Day Free Health & Beauty Pamper Day for Older People in Drogheda Town Centre. 10.30am – 1pm
